August, the halfway point of summer! So how do we get ready to close out summer?
By buying summer products of course! That’s right. It's time to start looking for those end-of-season clearance sales in August!
August also marks the time to start back to school shopping! Back-to-school supplies such as pencils, paper, folders, backpacks…etc, and of course Back-to-school clothes. In General, the closer we get to the start of the school year, the better your chances of getting a good price. Also, many states offer a TAX-FREE Weekend for school shopping in August, which in some cases also includes clothes and electronics like laptops and tablets. Dates for the TAX-FREE Weekend events and what is included in the TAX-FREE event varies from state to state. This year some dates fell in July.You can also ride out the end of summer with some big deals on lawnmowers and other seasonal outdoor equipment. And let's not forget about swimsuits and other summer attire. As the summer season winds down, retailers will need to start making room for the Autumn stock that will soon start rolling in!
Lastly, be sure to keep your eye out for all the Labor Day Weekend Sales coming up between August 31st through September 3rd.
