August, the halfway point of summer! So how do we get ready to close out summer?
By buying summer products of course! That’s right. It's time to start looking for those end-of-season clearance sales in August!
August also marks the time for back to school! Whether you've chosen E-Learning or in-person schooling this school year, your child will still need those back-to-school supplies such as pencils, paper, folders, backpacks…etc. In General, the closer we get to the start of the school year, the better your chances of getting a good price. You can even add your child's school supplies to your grocery pick-up order! Also, many states offer a TAX-FREE Weekend for school shopping in August, which in some cases also includes clothes and electronics like laptops and tablets. Dates for the TAX-FREE Weekend events and what is included in the TAX-FREE event vary from state to state.
You can also ride out the end of summer with some big deals on lawnmowers and other seasonal outdoor equipment. And let's not forget about swimsuits and other summer attire and if you have the Rakuten browser installed you can save even more by earning up to 2% cashback! As the summer season winds down, retailers will need to start making room for the Autumn stock that will soon start rolling in! Lastly, be sure to keep your eye out for all the Labor Day Weekend Sales coming up.
So, if you're like me and always looking to save even more money on your online purchases two of my go-to coupon and coupon code browser extensions are Honey and Rakuten. Ibotta has recently launched a Beta Browser that is on the fast track to becoming my favorite browser, I highly recommend checking it out and giving it a try! I also recommend using cashback apps to earn money back on your everyday in-store and online purchases. My favorite cashback apps are Ibotta and Fetch Rewards.
